Understanding Our Needs

Since 2010, Zionsville Youth Lacrosse (ZLAX) has developed into a well-known sports organization within the Zionsville community.  In order to support our growth more money is needed to line our fields, maintain and store our equipment, repair our goals, hire officials, and enhance the overall experience for all youth lacrosse athletes. In an effort to maintain our registration fees and not deter players and families from particpating , we are asking for your support in the form of a financial gift to our charitable organization.

Here are some examples of our operational costs today:

• Field Lining Paint: $60 per case - We use 1 case per week for each of our three field locations

• Field Liner: $180 x 3 - We’re in desperate need of new field liners for our volunteers.

• Officials: $120 per game x ## games - This cost continues to increase year-over-year.

• Balls: $160 per case x # cases - Lacrosse balls get lost or become unusable quickly. More balls means more reps at practice for all teams and fresh balls at every game.

• AED Maintenance - $500 - $2,000 - Offering and maintaining an AED at all three ZLAX fields

• Storage & Equipment - $100 - $1,000 - Storage unit, goals, creases, training aids all add up

• State Tournament Entry Fees: $500 per team x 9+ teams - That’s $4,500 or more!

• New Player Start-Up Equipment: $300 - We’d love to provide trial equipment to new players!

• Providing Lacrosse Experiences - $TBD - Organizing and transporting our players to lacrosse experiences such as watching Butler, Notre Dame, UINDY, or a Premier Lacrosse League game.

• Hiring Advanced Coaches - $TBD - Offering specialty training and/or hiring dedicated coaches outside of parent volunteers is a long-term goal of ours.
